Iron ore concentrate with Fe content more than 69.5%

A type of concentrate with very high iron content.

This high-quality raw material has low levels of impurities, ensuring optimal efficiency in steel production processes. It is mainly used in the production of pellets, but can also be used in sintering and blast furnace production.

The product is dried, if required, in order to make transportation and unloading easier in the periods when the air temperature is below freezing.

Storage, transportation, delivery conditions

Name of the product type Iron ore concentrate with minimum 69.5% Fe content Iron ore concentrate with minimum 69.5% Fe content (dried)
Minimum order 69 tonnes (delivery by hopper cars)
Transportation requirements All types of transport modes can transport this iron ore concentrate, as long as it is in accordance with the transportation requirements for each specific mode of transport. It can be transported in bulk, in conditions safe fr om contamination and mixing with other materials, as well as in conditions that avoid cargo spillage.
Storage requirements Should be stored in conditions safe from contamination and mixing with other materials.
Notes  Freeze-proofing measures (shoveling, application of special anti-freeze solutions, etc) shall be taken during cold season, if required.

According to the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes Code (IMSBC), concentrate is classified as a potentially liquefiable cargo, if during its transportation by sea the moisture content of the concentrate exceeds the transportable moisture lim it.
To prevent weathering, it is recommended to transport concentrate in an enclosed means of transport.
